It must have been a challenge to make a digital CD player to match the analog styling of the Tivoli table radios. Certainly the enclosure and materials are the same so the outward appearance is of a unified system.
The similarities mostly end there. While the Model Two for example has large spinning knobs, the Model CD has small push buttons. The CD player has a digital display while the radios have analog dials. The CD player has a remote control, but there is no remote to control the radio (and therefore power and volume).
As with most Tivoli products, features follow the less-is-more approach. Basic features of play/pause/skip/scan/shuffle are all there, but no programming capabilities exist.
Player quality is quite good, and the player has been able to handle CD-R and mildly scratched disks without any issues. Cabinet quality is probably also quite good for most, but my particular device has an imperfection in the wood cabinet right in the middle of the top front edge. I realize natural materials will have their flaws, but it certainly would have been nicer if the flaw had been positioned on a hidden edge (on the back perhaps).
Overall, the player is fine, and certainly is the one to get if you want a CD player to match your Tivoli table radio.

what a great little CD player

What a great looking CD player. It's so elegant and understated. I can put this on my desk at work, and enjoy it's understated design but obviously high price (conspicuous consumption)
