I purchased this as a travel radio to take with me when I went to my parents house with the kids. We always sleep to music and the ipod if full of the music that puts the little ones to sleep. This works great. The sound quality is fantastic and it takes up such little space. I love that it charges my touch and re-chargable batteries too. It is one purchase that I am glad I made.

I use my Songbook in the most central room of the house - the kitchen. It's great for listening to the radio, portable, and the sound quality is amazing. I love that we can charge my family's Ipods at the same time. Only thing that is a little screwy for me is the remote; sometimes the Playlist jump doesn't work. But this is a minor quirk. I would recommend the Songbook over any other Ipod docking sound system for sleekness, portability, sound quality and ease of use.

Tivoli iSongbook is the best!

The Tivoli iSongbook is such a great radio. You would never guess that the sound was coming from this small unit. I also purchased the carry bag and it was well worth it. I take this everywhere.

Great little addition to Ipod

I picked up an isongbook at the local sears and was really impressed with the sound and the ease of use. Works great with an ipod or any other auxillary input. The Am and Fm radio is great as well.

Wow! That's a beautiful radio. So elegant and simple, but it sounds great. It's the perfect companion to my 1st gen ipod touch

superb musicality, you can really hear instrument playing on this isong book, detachable speaker makes for great stereo soundstaging. You can hear the Highs and the Lows on this machine. I use this for travel and around the house whenever i don't fire up my big system. Great little stereo with a great sound for a fraction of a cost

The best... I have heard

I bought my iSongBook without really knowing the product. I just heard before the PAL at some friends' place and was amazed by how it sounds. Thus when I saw this Tivoli product on sale in a local store, I just bought it. I have to say it is even better then what I expected.
The system is ingenious (like the retractable dock and the removable speaker) and intuitive to use. But most important, the sound is really really good for such kind of portable sound system. I red some reviews online complaining about a lack of bass. I guess it depends the kind of music you are listening, but for me the fact that the sound is so clear on the entire sound range is more important. Finally, the battery life of the system (even if batteries could have been included for the price) is good and provides an appreciable autonomy to this product, making it a real portable device.

The best iPod dock/radio combination

I bought my iSongBook when I saw it on sale at Sears a few months ago. I already own an iPal and when I saw the iSongBook I couldn't resist. Just like my iPal radio, the sound is terrific. But even better, it has stereo and the built-in iPod dock. It's rugged enough to be taken on trips or used when working in the yard. Nobody builds quality like this except Tivoli.

And I thought my PAL was great. I've been in radio, public and otherwise, for most of my life, currently as host and producer of Planetary Radio for the Planetary Society. I have no idea how many radios I own, but they're everywhere. Outside the car, which do I depend on most by a wide margin? My iSongBook. (The PAL went to my grateful wife when the iSongBook arrived.) The only thing I miss about the PAL is the great feel of that tuner, but I wouldn't give up digital tuning for it. There is so much that is just right about the iSongBook. From the detachable second speaker's internal wind-up cable to the cool blue display backlight, I love this little machine. Most reviews note that it's a bit light on bass, but the better reviews remind us that all that great sound is coming from nicely-protected 2.5 inch speakers! And the fold-down iPod dock (with full remote!) is terrific. So, Tivoli, when do we get the fully iPhone compatible model? Classic, Nano and iTouch owners, this is your radio. Don't have an iPod? Then you need this radio even more!

Its hard to get everything in one component that sounds so good but leave it to Tivoli Audio to knock it out of the park. The sound quality plus the i-pod dock is great and I mean great. The remote is easy to use.
